A leading global producer and supplier of automotive glass, JHP Training is currently working at Pilkington's site in Birmingham which supplies original equipment. Employees are offered Adult Numeracy and Literacy, and NVQs in Team Leading, and Distribution and Warehousing.

After a successful trial period we extended this to a Leadership NVQ for a group of employees who we were working hard with to improve capability.

The top objectives we wanted to achieve through training were increased commitment from employees and meaningful development to support the operation. Following the training, our employees' general approach was vastly improved and we had demonstrated real commitment to them and their development. Our employee's commitment to the business had a positive impact on absence and quality levels, improving our overall business performance. Their own desire for personal fulfilment also increased as they had a tangible qualification to work towards.

The training package delivered was flexible - the assessor fitted in with our shift patterns and attended site on a flexible basis, keeping the guys on the line as much as possible.
