"I was always unsure about the career path I would take. After doing GCSEs I did my A-Levels and after the first year I decided I would go to college to study a specific work related subject to gain employment, as university was not what I wanted to do at the time.
I looked at different colleges and decided to enrol on an Administration course; I started the course but I didn't feel it was right for me so looked at alternative courses and training in administration. When I was doing this I came across Apprenticeships and was interested in the experience that could be gained.
“I wouldn't have gained this employment without the experience I gained from the Apprenticeship.”
I chose JHP Training because of their professional approach. The support they showed me also gave me encouragement and confidence that they were the right training provider for me.
I enjoyed the Apprenticeship, both gaining the qualification as well as the work experience. My Apprenticeship included a year's placement within an administration based company and I also completed Key Skills, an NVQ and a Technical Certificate.
The course work I produced with the assistance and tutoring of my Assessor, taught me about the responsibilities and duties expected of an administrator.
Since completion I have gained full-time employment at Dowdales School in Dalton-in-Furness as their school Receptionist and Administration Assistant. I wouldn't have gained this employment without the experience I gained from the Apprenticeship.
I am currently doing a further qualification with JHP Training: an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration at Level 3. This will give me the opportunity to continue my studies further. I plan to progress to become a Personal Assistant or go to university to study Business Administration."
