The Manchester branch of JHP Employability has recently moved into the regeneration area of the Ancoats Urban Village, in a converted glassworks. The bare brick walls, exposed beams and iron work give the building an industrial feel, which is then combined with state of the art IT systems in specialist teaching rooms. A pictorial tour of the building, along with details of an extensive history, can be viewed at www.flintglassworks.co.uk.

JHP Manchester has been heavily involved in the development of a new young apprenticeships initiative and has been working alongside the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to finalise Diplomas in Business Administration for pupils at Newalll Green High school in Manchester.
After months of hard work, t
he RBS Diploma, in conjunction with JHP Training, has been finalised resulting in a launch event which saw over a hundred guests invited to the Royal Bank of Scotland's Hardman Boulevard building in Manchester.
On the launch night, Manchester's former Lord Mayor and Wythenshawe councillors attended along with Diploma pupils, their parents and mentors from the bank. Key members of JHP staff, senior RBS staff and the Diploma steering group were also in attendance.
The event was hosted by Louise King of the RBS and speeches were given by the Managing Director Richard Hemsley and Neil Wilson Head Teacher of Newall Green High School.
Those pupils selected for the Diploma all attend Newall Green High School and have gone through a rigorous process to gain places on the programme, including initial assessment at JHP Manchester. The pupils are as young as 13 years old and yet have managed to achieve close to Level 3 on their initial assessments.
During the evening pupils were introduced to their Diploma mentors at the bank and given goody bags as a welcome gift. A series of introductory events will take place for the Newall Green pupils before they start their placements. All students will attend one day per week for two years and will be guided through their qualification by JHP Manchester.
