Looking for a job can be a frustrating and difficult process but JHP Employability offers practical help and training to support you through the process.

JHP Employability provides specialist support to you if you are finding it difficult to enter or return to the job market. You will join a programme that is matched to our specific circumstances to ensure that you receive the right support to find the right job for you.

How Can JHP Employability Help Me?

JHP Employability can help whatever your circumstances and can offer lots of support in additional areas, including financial support for travel and childcare, advice on benefits and returning to work as well as training opportunities.

A range of programmes are available to suit your needs and will provide you with the exact package of support that you need. This could include:

  • Support with job search activities.
  • Help with CV building and application forms.
  • Confidence and self-esteem building.
  • Specific training and skills for the workplace.
  • Information on benefits and how to make the transition to employment.
  • Tips on how to succeed at interview.

The exact nature of your programme will depend upon you individual needs and a JHP Employability Tutor will help you to decide the areas that you need to concentrate on. What is important is that the programme focuses on the areas where you need support to help you progress into work, training or further education.

Programmes available include:

  • Youth Foundation Programme - Suitable if you are 16-19, live in England or Wales and are not in full-time education or employment.
  • Employability Skills Programme - Suitable if you are 18 or over, live in England or Wales and are not in full-time education or employment.
  • Training for Work - Suitable if you are over 18, live in Scotland and are not in full-time education or employment.
  • Get Ready for Work - Suitable if you are 16-19, live in Scotland and are not in full-time education or employment.
  • Response to Redundancy – Suitable if you are 18 or over, living in England or Wales and have recently been made redundant or are under notice of redundancy.
