Youth Foundation Programmes

A Youth Foundation Programme is for you if you are aged 16 - 19 and are not in employment or full-time education.

Getting you where you want to be, Youth Foundation Programmes are designed to help you move forward into employment, further training or college.

How your programme develops is entirely down to you and will be tailored to your individual needs.

What's Involved?

Some of the new skills and techniques you can expect to learn:

  • CV writing and job searches
  • Developing your Maths, English and Communication skills
  • Team working and confidence building
  • Interview skills
  • Work experience placements

Plus whatever additional support and guidance you need to acheive the success you deserve.

Why Choose a Youth Foundation Programme?

  • Gain the skills and confidence to get a job, get trained or go to college.
  • If you're undecided about where your future lies, then a Youth Foundation Programme is a great way of checking out careers before you make a final decision.
  • Through the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) you could be eligible to receive up to £30 a week to help you continue your learning.

What Happens When I Finish?

The aim of the Youth Foundation Programme is to help you get to a point where you are able to continue into employment, training or further education. If you choose to get a job, then JHP Employability can help you to access an Apprenticeship to support your employment and ensure that you progress as far as possible in your new workplace.
